Sal, Cape Verde Islands

Located off the west coast of Africa and directly below the Canary Islands, Cape Verde offers perfect year round tropical climates.

The climate is very pleasant due to the easterly trade winds, which help to keep the humidity very low.

The sun shines all year round and temperatures stay between low 20’s – Mid 30’s year round.

Sal is one of nine islands that make up an archipelago know as the Cape Verde Islands.

Sal is the most developed so far and one of only 2 islands with direct flights to the UK that said, it is completely unspoilt and has a lovely calm feel to the island along with an Afro-Caribbean, vibrant feel to the place.

The locals are friendly and a lot of them speak good English already, so getting around, ordering food/drinks etc is not a problem.

The town of Santa Maria already has quite a few bars and restaurants to help make your stay interesting and I’m sure you’ll find plenty of interest during your stay.
